About Us

Gulf Islands Community Radio Society is a group of people with a passion for local community radio! We are working to bring live community radio on CHiR,fm to the Gulf Islands. We have an extraordinary team of people pulling together for this effort.
Our radio station is a community licensed radio station. It is owned and run by locals for locals via a Society, which is a non-profit organization.
Our vision is that this radio station is available as a public service to the listening communities it serves, broadcast, streaming and podcasts.We invite you to be a part of this effort by supporting the Society through volunteering and/or donations.
